About The Villa

When you need an escape from the pressures and stresses of the world, Casa Brigitta is the perfect sun-drenched villa located in the centre of the island for convenient access to the beautiful beaches, lush landscapes, Al fresco dining, charming sleepy villages, and historic architecture that Corfu offers in abundance.

Casa Brigitta is a beautiful 5 bedroom villa situated in the heart of Kommeno, in the centre of the island of Corfu.

The villa is complete with all the features and facilities you need for a holiday that you will remember fondly for years to come, including stunning direct views of the Ionian sea, relaxing infinity pool, spacious bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, and brick built-in BBQ. Not to talk of the multi-channel Satellite TV, Nespresso coffee machine, airconditioning in all bedrooms, Sonos speaker system, and, of course, free WiFi across the whole house (and pool).

My mother, Brigitta, first travelled to Corfu in the mid-nineties and immediately felt a deep connection to the island. It was here, in Kommeno—one of Corfu’s most sought-after coastal areas—that she discovered this villa, which became our family retreat for many years.

Designed by a renowned Corfiot architect, the villa reflects a timeless approach to Mediterranean architecture, with a strong sense of place and proportion. Original features remain at its heart, from the brick fireplace to the wood and iron staircase, and traditional shutters framing uninterrupted views across Kommeno Bay towards Corfu Town.

Set in an elevated position in Kommeno, Casa Brigitta offers a rare balance of privacy and proximity. With spectacular views over the bay and across to Corfu Town, and with the sea just a few minutes away, it is ideally located between the historic centre and the island’s northern coastline—an excellent base for exploring the Ionian island while returning to a calm, design-led holiday villa overlooking the sea.

Over time, I have carefully evolved the interiors, introducing a considered layer of colour, texture, and materiality while respecting the original architecture. The result is a refined five-bedroom luxury villa in Corfu, designed for relaxed, beautiful living.

Casa Brigitta remains a place to slow down, gather, and experience Corfu with intention.

Eva Sonaike

As the founder of a London design studio, working on the renovation of our villa was a deeply personal project. My intention was to enhance the space while preserving its original character, while introducing a more layered, design-led approach to contemporary living in Corfu.

I carefully updated the villa with new bathrooms, modern appliances, and a beautifully positioned infinity pool overlooking Kommeno Bay and across to Corfu Town. At the same time, I retained the charm of the original architecture—allowing a natural dialogue between my mother’s traditional European style, with its antique furniture and heirloom pieces, and my own contemporary perspective shaped by colour, materiality, and cultural narrative.

Drawing on my work as an interior designer, I introduced subtle African design elements throughout the villa—from colourful upholstery and textured fabrics to handcrafted details such as the raffia mirror and bespoke wall features. Rooted in craftsmanship and a strong sense of identity, these additions bring warmth, depth, and a quietly vibrant energy to this design-led holiday villa in Kommeno, Corfu. Casa Brigitta remains a place I return to each year with my family, drawn by its atmosphere, its setting, and its connection to both landscape and design. It is a space created for relaxed, beautiful living—where guests are invited to feel completely at home and to experience the positive, uplifting energy that defines the villa.
