Casa Brigitta is a beautiful 5 bedroom villa situated in the heart of Kommeno, in the centre of the island of Corfu.
The villa is complete with all the features and facilities you need for a holiday that you will remember fondly for years to come, including stunning direct views of the Ionian sea, relaxing infinity pool, spacious bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, and brick built-in BBQ. Not to talk of the multi-channel Satellite TV, Nespresso coffee machine, airconditioning in all bedrooms, Sonos speaker system, and, of course, free WiFi across the whole house (and pool).
Brigitta
My mother, Brigitta, first traveled to Corfu in 1995 and immediately fell in love with the island. She discovered Kommeno and found this villa, which would then become our family holiday home for the next 27 years.
The villa itself was built by renowned Corfiot architect, Avarnitis, and building engineer, Yannis Tryphon, who lived with his wife in the neighbouring villa for many years. And you will still find some of the original features as designed by Avarnitis and Yannis in the house today, such as the brick fireplace, winding wood & iron staircase, and Mediterranean window shutters.
Corfu is a magical place. And Kommeno, located as it is in the center of the island, is the perfect base to make the most of it.
My mother and I are delighted to welcome you to Casa Brigitta.
Eva Sonaike
As a London based interior designer and owner of the brand Eva Sonaike, it was a dream project for me to able to work on renovating and updating my mother's beautiful villa.
There are new bathrooms, new appliances, and a gorgeous new infinity pool. But the charm and character of the original villa remains, allowing me to combine my mother's traditional European style (antique furniture and heirloom pieces) with my more contemporary West African aesthetic.
Look out for these modern design touches (colourful upholsterery, Raffia mirror, handmade African fan feature wall) added to give a uniquely vibrant feel to the villa.
My husband, my children and I come to Corfu and Casa Brigitta every year (sometimes twice a year).
